1 Introduction It is crucial to perceive wind hazards in the design of low-rise buildings to improve their structural resiliency over time. The majority of structures built in Canada are categorized as low-rise buildings used mainly for residential and commercial purposes. In fact, according to Census Canada in 2016, the overall housing stock was classified as single detached houses, with more than 53.4% of the total buildings in Canada (Bitsuamlak et al., 2013).
