Max Kim’s Biography
I'm a freelance journalist based in Seoul, South Korea.
I primarily write longform stories for outlets like the New Yorker, The Atlantic, MIT Technology Review, or Rest of World. I've lately been focused on stories about people and technology, but in the past I've written profiles of tech moguls and North Korean propaganda poets as well as dispatches from political protests.
I've done documentary production with shows like Vice News on HBO and Al Jazeera's Fault Lines.
