Primary care offices should consider increasing the frequency and duration of visits for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), according to a quality improvement (QI) project presented at the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) annual conference, held from June 23 to 27, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The QI project analyzes diabetes care at a nurse practitioner (NP)-owned and operated family health care clinic in Amherst, New Hampshire.
