“Ask around the city, I ain’t no fuck nigga” Who is actually challenging the credentials of rappers who call themselves Homixide Gang and hail from Atlanta, GA? Not this man. If they say they live it like they talk it on “Snotty World Deluxe” I’m not even questioning it. Unfortunately for me over 30 years of covering music has shown me time and again that rappers who do have short careers — not because the fans tire of their art but because their opps tire of them flaunting their success.

We do 20-30 reviews a month (depending on how many Tuesdays there are) and it’s still a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of shit that gets released. It has been a minute since we’ve talked about Donnis. Actually — more than a minute — 15 years. If I can be blunt I haven’t thought about him once since Matt last wrote about him. He was a perfectly middle of the road Southern rapper from Atlanta. Not great, not terrible.
