ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A woman died two days after a stabbing in Albuquerque where a suspect is in custody, according to police. Police arrested 52-year-old Geraldine Begay after she allegedly stabbed a woman in the shoulder early Friday morning at the French Quarter Apartments, just northeast of San Mateo and Gibson. Police identified the victim as 59-year-old Crystal Markum. She died in the hospital Sunday. Begay initially faced a charge of aggravated battery. She now faces a murder charge.
