SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The Siouxland District Health Department is rolling out new fall prevention efforts backed by a $2,500 Community Challenge Grant from AARP, as local emergency call data shows fall-related responses in Sioux City are already outpacing last year’s totals. As of July 1, 2026, Sioux City Fire Rescue has responded to 5,068 fall-risk calls — surpassing the 5,022 calls logged during the same period in 2025.
