PERHAM — The Perham volleyball team hosted Barnesville for a Heart O’ Lakes conference matchup at The Hive on Thursday, Sept. 17. The Yellowjackets (3-1) and a (1-1) conference record defeated the Trojans in a straight-set sweep (25-17, 26-24, 25-20). Camryn Coste became the school’s all time assist leader with 1404 assists in a game. She recorded a team high 30 last night. Addi Hackel led the attack with 16 kills. Khlya Wolfe and Coste co-led the team with two aces.

LUCKY LINDY — The Perham cross country team had a gold-medal-filled day at the Lucky Lindy Invitational at Little Falls Golf Course on Thursday, Sept. 17. The Yellowjackets swept the field as the boys secured first place with 53 team points and the girls buzzed to the top with 58 team points. Every Perham racer finished with a personal or season best. Adeline Werner was the girls top performer, placing second with time of 18:37.0. Tilly Mathies was 22 seconds behind her in fifth place (18:59.6).

OTTER TAIL COUNTY — The Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners has directed staff to pursue a Subordinate Service District (SSD) to keep emergency medical services running in the Pelican Rapids area, a region that includes Vergas, Candor Township and other communities near the Becker County line, according to a news release from Otter Tail County.

Her body was exhumed in July of this year, and is being processed by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. NEW YORK, Sept 17 (Reuters) - A Minnesota man who squirted vinegar on Democratic U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar was sentenced to one year and two months in prison on Thursday after pleading guilty to assaulting a federal official.
