VERGAS, Minn. — A 46-year-old Frazee woman is dead following a single-vehicle rollover crash near Vergas early Sunday, June 14. At 7:28 a.m. Sunday, the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office received a complaint of a motor vehicle accident on County Highway 60 East of County Highway 36.

WADENA — Two teens suffered life-threatening injuries when their 2002 Chevy Cavalier collided with a Ram pickup truck on Highway 29 in Otter Tail County on Saturday. The Ram 1500 was northbound on Highway 29. The Cavalier turned south onto Highway 29 from 610th Avenue (Otter Tail County Road 77) and the vehicles collided at the intersection, according to the State Patrol.

MOORHEAD — Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan toured Prairie Rose Farm near Moorhead on Saturday, June 13, meeting with farmers and local agricultural leaders. Flanagan, a Democrat, is currently running for the U.S. Senate. "We've got a long legacy of agriculture in Minnesota, and in order to make sure that we can continue with that, with small farms, family farms, it has to be invested in," Flanagan told those in attendance.

DEER CREEK, Minn. — Two Minnesota teens were seriously injured in a collision Saturday, June 13, near Deer Creek in Otter Tail County. At approximately 5:15 p.m., a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was traveling northbound on Highway 29 when a Chevy Cavalier turned south onto the highway from 610th Avenue. The vehicles collided at the intersection.

MINNEAPOLIS — The University of Minnesota has agreed to contract extensions with athletics director Mark Coyle and women’s basketball coach Dawn Plitzuweit, the school announced Thursday. Plitzuweit received an automatic, one-year extension for leading the Gophers to their first NCAA tournament bid since 2018 this spring, a bonus that was part of the structure of an extension she signed in 2025.
