Lakes Area Home Tour opens doors to inspiration
PERHAM — Tickets are on sale for the Lakes Area Home Tour set for Saturday, Oct. 10. Attendees may find inspiration for ideas on redecorating, remodeling or design concepts for building a dream home. The event also gives those on the tour a chance to talk with business representatives who worked on projects at the homes along the tour.
Without zoning ordinances, townships may have little say over data centers

That was a question posed at the Otter Tail County Board meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The conversation on data centers was spurred by a request from Deputy Administrator Nick Leonard.
Landowner floats kayak launch idea for Rush Lake property
RUSH LAKE — An Otter Tail County resident is looking for feedback on the possibility of turning his property on Rush Lake into a location where kayaks can be rented or launched. Ryan Veralrud, the property owner, emphasized he has not applied for permits, obtained necessary insurance or taken any steps other than asking for feedback on the concept for his land. He explained he had driven by the parcel dozens of times while traveling to and from work.
