The full lineup of over two hundred short films virtually draws films from all four corners of the World, with an animation focus from Japan, regional focuses on China and South Korea, and standards like Born of Women, Small Guage Trauma, Things That go Bump in the East and Are You Afraid of Fantasia?

Okay, are you ready? The final wave of titles and additional programming for the 30th Edition of Fantasia is here and it is a whopper. The opening and closing films have been announced. Nicola Winding Refn's Her Private Hell will this year and Canadian filmmakers Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein will close out this year's festival with Freaks Part II, the sequel to their 2018 movie, Freaks. Guys who always want us to include their middle name's initials, Mark H.

Solving the humanitarian crisis in Gaza seems impossible given the politics involved. That hasn't stopped doctors in Life Support from volunteering their services. Daniele Rugo's documentary shows how difficult it is to try to help. Made up primarily of talking head interviews, Life Support lets several doctors, mostly from Great Britain, testify about their experiences. Rugo buttresses the interviews with archival footage, news excerpts, and first-person accounts delivered on iPhones and laptops.

For those of you out there who feel that the only good shark movie is a campy one, we bring you news that Sharknado director Anthony C. Ferrante has returned to the sub-par genre he once dominated with a new film, Water Park Shark. Available this Friday, July 3rd, on Apple TV, Prime Video and Fandango at Home, Water Park Shark continues with the same, silly, low-budget thrills and kills that Ferrante brought fans during the teenies (2015 - 2018).
