Jalen Melbert, 33, of Oakdale, was arrested Monday on charges of abuse of office and malfeasance in office. According to detectives, Melbert attempted to use his position as an officer to influence a victim to engage in sexual activity with him.

KEIZER, Ore. (KPTV/Gray News) - An Oregon man was sentenced to six years in prison for beating his wife with a Bible and threatening her with guns, according to the Marion County District Attorney’s Office on Friday. NEW YORK (WCBS) - An investigation is now underway after an MTA worker in New York was killed on the job Thursday night after she was hit by a train. It happened near the 161st Street-Yankee Stadium subway stop. The MTA says Moet McCullum, 41, was working as a construction flagger, tasked with notifying passing trains that workers were on the subway tracks. She was on the tracks near River and East 161st streets when she was struck by a D train just after 11:30 p.m., officials say.
