WARREN - Trumbull County Commissioners will hold an emergency meeting on Thursday to discuss safety and damage concerns related to the installation of fiber-optic lines in the county. This comes after State Route 46 in Bazetta Township, near Cortland, was closed for a time Wednesday afternoon after a third-party crew installing fiber-optic lines struck a natural gas line, according to Trumbull Dispatch.

Ultium Cells to bring back some Lordstown workers in late July
Ultium Cells will begin bringing back some of its laid-off employees in Lordstown this month, following more than six months of layoffs, according to a company spokesperson. A spokesperson for Ultium Cells tells 21 News that workers will return to work in phases beginning July 27 and will come back over a four-week period. Production is expected to begin again at the Lordstown plant in August. The number of workers set to return is unclear at this time.

Railroad Street in East Liverpool reopened late Tuesday afternoon after a large spill at Arcwood Environmental, the city's hazardous waste incineration and treatment facility.
