ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police are looking for the driver who they say hit a woman with a car during an argument on Monday morning, then took off. The crash happened on Weld Street near Lays Alley. Officers say they responded around 1:15 a.m. and found the woman, 22, with a lower-body injury. An ambulance took her to the hospital, and she is expected to recover. RPD describes the car that hit the woman as a white mid-size SUV.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Four people were hurt after a fight and shooting on Dewey Avenue in Rochester on Sunday night. Rochester police said officers responded to the 600 block of Dewey Avenue at about 8:37 p.m. for a report of shots fired. Police found that a group argument had escalated into a fight, during which two people were cut with knives. Police said an unknown man then arrived and began shooting into the group, hitting two people. The shooter ran away from the scene.

HILO, Hawaii (AP) — Hurricane Nolo was moving away from the Hawaiian Islands on Sunday, but the threat of heavy rain, flash flooding and strong winds persisted in areas of the island chain still recovering from previous storms. Nolo was about 365 miles (585 kilometers) south-southwest of Honolulu and moving away from the Big Island at about 12 mph (19 kph).
