Ian Mills is a reporter for FOX 40. Originally from Rochester, Ian came to the Southern Tier in 2019, his freshman year at Binghamton University. Ian plans to graduate from Binghamton in the fall of 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

For the fifth-straight season, the Victor girls lacrosse team has won the NYSPHSAA, Class B Championship. On Saturday at SUNY Cortland, the Blue Devils beat Section XIII’s Garden City, 13-5, to complete a 20-4 season and a FIVE-peat. Jennifer Haggerty has coached Victor since 2024.

Scholar Athlete: Bailey Cooper

PENN YAN, N.Y. — The latest News10NBC Scholar Athlete of the Week, Bailey Cooper, is used to practicing in June because for the last four seasons, Section V Class D has run through the Mustangs and through Cooper. Now, Penn Yan is hoping to buck a trend of falling in the NYSPHSAA semifinals and hoist the program’s first state championship title since 2004. “Awesome,” head coach Chris Hansen replied when asked to describe Cooper in one word.
