ROCHESTER, N.Y. One of the great things about our part of the world is all of the bodies of water we have. So you want to make sure you’re safe, whether it’s hanging out on the beach, on the boat, or actually in the water. First and foremost, make sure to check the latest First Alert Forecast before heading out. If you see that a storm is approaching, try to head to shore or safe shelter as soon as possible. But here’s what to do if you do get caught in a storm.

After cloudy skies on Tuesday morning, the sun returns in late in the afternoon. The sun sticks around for Wednesday and most of Thursday, but we will see the temperatures once again skyrocket. Wednesday will feature mostly sunny skies with highs near 90 and then Thursday will be hot, hazy, and humid. Dew points climb near 70 for Thursday and with highs in the low 90s. We will see heat indices reach the upper 90s to near 100 at times during the afternoon.

There will be shower chances through Tuesday morning before slowly dropping in the afternoon. An isolated light shower is possible Tuesday afternoon, but no need to cancel any outdoor plans. With the cold front swinging through, we will also see a drop in dew points and temperatures. Tuesday will feature highs in the upper 70 with comfortable conditions by the afternoon. So, enjoy tomorrow because the heat and humidity will ramp up for Wednesday and Thursday.
