RIF (101.1 FM) — branded 101 WRIF: The RIFF — is a commercial active rock radio station licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to operate in Detroit, Michigan serving surrounding Metro Detroit.The station is currently owned by Greater Boston Radio, Inc.WRIF is a grandfathered "Superpower" Class B station with a signal equivalent to 92,000 watts at 500 ft; stated another way, under current U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) limits for Class B stations, WRIF would be allowed to broadcast an effective radiated power (ERP) of no more than 16,000 watts using an antenna of height of 268 meters.As such, the signal can be heard as far North as Lexington, MI; Jackson; Chatham-Kent and Lambton County, Ontario; North Baltimore, Ohio; and occasionally as far south as Delaware, Ohio. The station transmitter is located in the Detroit suburb of Southfield near the intersection of 10 Mile Road and Northwestern Highway. WRIF transmits its signal from the same tower as WXYZ-TV. Jackson revealed four limited-edition Legend Series signature models. Each one recreates an instrument built for Randy Rhoads, Scott Ian, David Ellefson, or Marty Friedman. The company says the designs draw on vintage looks and copy the originals closely, according to its announcement. Four models make up the lineup: the Randy Rhoads CD1, the Marty Friedman Kelly KE-1, the Scott Ian Rhoads RR22, and the David Ellefson CB V Concert Bass.
Van Buren Township Panel Approves Site Plan for Google Data Center
The Van Buren Township Planning Commission voted 5-1 on Wednesday to approve the final site plan for a Google data center. That vote clears developer Panattoni to start utility installation and site work. Known as Project Cannoli, the data center will rise on 282 acres east of Haggerty Road and north of the Interstate 94 North Service Drive. Plans call for six buildings, parking lots, a substation, and equipment yards on 150 acres. The rest stays open space, according to Bridge Michigan.

Wanda Cooper was the woman who first saw the ATM open up, she was nervous so she called the bank. The bank didn't answer so she called 911.

Deziree is accused of stealing chains from a man that were worth over 100,000 dollars, after meeting him at the Booby Trap.

Record Store Day Black Friday 2026 Brings Prince, Goo Goo Dolls, and 185 Other Titles to Stores on Nov. 27
About 185 exclusive titles will land in independent record shops on Nov. 27, the day after Thanksgiving, as part of Record Store Day Black Friday 2026. Organizers shared the full list this week. Prince's 3121 Las Vegas Live will come out as a 3-LP set on Crystal Blue Caraçao vinyl. Only 9,400 copies will exist, according to the official press release. A 2-CD version will have 2,700 copies. He recorded the show in January 2007 during his Las Vegas residency.
