What's your favorite social network?
I’d say Substack, if that counts—it feels less like a traditional social network and more like a community where writers (and readers) share thoughts, art, and love. I enjoy the mix of creativity and conversation that happens there.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes—I worked on my high school newspaper, The Burrow, for two years as editor and publisher. I handled editing and publishing articles, managed SEO and social media, and helped bring our small but dedicated club together into a cohesive team.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I’m most proud of my feature “The Ones Who Printed Us: A Tribute to the Magazines That Made Culture,” because it let me dive into the history of trailblazing publications and zines that shaped communities, creativity, and identity. Writing it gave me a deeper appreciation of how magazines—despite their brilliance—often faced financial instability that cut their legacies short. Beyond being a history lesson, it was a reminder of how vital editorial platforms are in preserving culture and amplifying underrepresented voices. That lesson ties directly back to my own career goals: I hope one day to serve as editor-in-chief of a magazine—not one I create from scratch, but one I inherit and steward from a trusted founder or previous EIC, ensuring its mission continues and its community thrives.
