Patio fee rates in Victoria, which were set to double in 2027 after a two-year rate freeze, will see a “modest increase” instead. During the July 2 committee of the whole meeting, council looked at whether to proceed with scheduled increases to licensing rates. A formal licensing program by the city allows businesses to use public space for patios.
