What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means being the voice to the voiceless and the truth in a world full of deception. It requires ethics, objectivism and fearlessness.

Evidence and data... and lots of it.

Who do you wish followed you?
The President, members of Congress, but, most of all, the public because they hold the real power.
Why did you become a journalist?
I like to say I didn't choose journalism, it chose me! I love combining video, audio and words to tell stories and I'm a hawk for the truth.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was sports writer/editor Sophomore year. Junior year I worked in the news and opinions sections. Senior year I was the Editor-Chief.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My proudest story is one about the political legal status of Native Hawaiians. It was a 9 month project and it kickstarted my career.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't take no for an answer. Be humble. Be fearless. Be honest. Never stop asking questions.
