Derrick Brangman picked up five wickets for 28 runs as Southampton Rangers defeated Warwick Workmen's Club by 72 runs in the second round of the Western Counties at White Hill Field on Saturday. Brangman, the player of the match, bowled 9.1 overs, recorded two maidens and captured the crucial wicket of Kamau Leverock, with Warwick bowled out for 148 in 38.1 overs. Rangers, aided by 57 from Dalin Richardson and 53 by opener Oronde Bascome, posted 220 in 47.2 overs.

Holders Warwick Workmen's Club have made one change to their playing XI for the Western Counties second round clash against strong challengers Southampton Rangers at White Hill Field today (11am). From the team that , colt Trey Vance has been brought in for Jade Darrell. Young tennis ace Zachary McGuire has reflected on his great run at the fifth Annual GTP Cup J30 ITF Tournament in Oranjestad, Aruba. McGuire, reached the semi-finals of the tournament, with his amazing run brought to an end on Thursday by Diego Valpereiro, from Brazil, who triumphed 6-4, 3-6, 6-0. By winning matches in the main draw group stage and recording victory in the quarter-finals, the 18-year-old secured his first ITF junior points.
