Police are investigating a stabbing in downtown Halifax over the weekend. Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of an injured person lying on the sidewalk in the 5600 block of Spring Garden Road around 3 a.m. Sunday. When officers arrived, they found a 44-year-old man with a stab wound. “Officers provided first-aid at the scene before the man was transported to hospital by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries,” reads a news release from the Halifax Regional Police.
