WRTI presents a special all-American program on The Philadelphia Orchestra in Concert, this Sunday, July 5 at 1 p.m. on WRTI 90.1, and Monday, July 6 at 7 p.m. on WRTI HD-2. The Philadelphia Orchestra Celebrates Americamarks the 250th birthday of the United States, with studio and concert recordings from the last half-century. It has been fully 250 years since the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776, right here in Philadelphia.

Join us on Sunday, June 14 at 1 p.m. on WRTI 90.1, and Monday, June 15 at 7 p.m. on WRTI HD-2 when The Philadelphia Orchestra in Concert brings you a colorful program of Ravel, Shostakovich, and Stravinsky form the 2025/2026 season. Music director Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads the orchestra in Maurice Ravel’s whimsical Mother Goose Suite to open the program, and closes with a complete performance of Igor Stravinsky’s revolutionary ballet, Le Sacre du Printemps (“The Rite of Spring”).

Join us on Sunday, June 7 at 1 p.m. on WRTI 90.1 and Monday, June 8 at 7 p.m. on WRTI HD-2 as The Philadelphia Orchestra in Concert brings you Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun and Ravel’s sumptuous orchestration of Pictures from an Exhibition by Mussorgsky. Pipa virtuoso Wu Man is featured in a concerto by Du Yun. On the podium is Elim Chan, recently named the music director designate of the San Francisco Symphony. This concert is a series of pictures, in a way.
