Honestly? People who never thought they could travel so that I can prove that they can and why!
Why did you become a journalist?
I want to share my love for travel and inspire people to live life to the fullest. I wanted to encourage them to spend more on experiences.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yearbook, I sold ads.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My National Parks. I love supporting our National Parks, teaching people to take care of them and encouraging them to visit.

Ones that want a mutually beneficial relationship. I have made so many friendships in the PR field that have lasted for years!
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
Ones that clearly don't value my time and expertise or cold pitch me with things don't clearly line up with my values.

Dr Pepper
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Traveling! Outdoors!

Honestly? It's my Facebook feed where I can stay connected to friends, family brands I love and fellow travel writers!
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
One of the biggest misconceptions about travel writers is that their job is a constant vacation, filled with glamorous experiences and endless leisure. In reality, travel writing is a challenging and demanding profession, and it often involves hard work and long hours.
