@stokesbary i was good at computer engineering classes (then later went back and got a second bachelor's in web design), but decided to go into journalism because of the money.
@stokesbary oh god I forgot this last point. Why didn't we go into something less complicated like engineering.
@stokesbary I will say that whenever I write about tax policy I have to repeatedly have the same "oh yeah, that's right" moment where I remember 1 percent limit is on increase in total tax collections, and the rate gets depressed or fluctuates based on that... it still is counterintuitive.
