Microwave ablation of adenomyosis: five-year follow-up and risk factors for recurrence of symptoms
Keywords Adenomyosis Microwave ablation Laparoscopy Recurrence risk factors Long-term outcomes Introduction Adenomyosis (AM) is characterized by aberrant development of endometrial glands and stroma within the myometrium [1]. This ectopic invasion triggers inflammation and neuroangiogenesis, leading to cardinal clinical manifestations, including menorrhagia, progressive dysmenorrhea, chronic pelvic pain, and infertility, severely compromising women’s quality of life [2,3].
DDIT3, OTUB2, and ASS1 regulate arginine biosynthesis in colorectal cancer cells under arginine deficiency
Keywords ASS1 ubiquitination OTUB2 AMPK DDIT3 C/EBPα arginine deprivation therapy ADT Research topic(s) CP: cancer CP: molecular biology Introduction Tumor cells rely on extensive nutrient consumption, such as glucose, nucleic acids, lipids, and amino acids to fuel rapid proliferation, invasion, immune evasion, and angiogenesis.1 Arginine, a semi-essential amino acid, plays dual roles in cellular metabolism: it serves as a critical intermediate in the urea cycle and as a primary substrate for...
circ-E2F3 drives ovarian cancer progression via the miR-1305/STAT3 axis through modulation of ferroptosis
Abstract Ovarian cancer (OC) remains the most lethal gynecologic malignancy, with approximately 75% of patients experiencing recurrence within 18–24 months and facing poor clinical outcomes. Accumulating evidence demonstrates that circular RNAs (circRNAs) play crucial roles in OC development and that ferroptosis serves as a novel tumor suppressor mechanism. This study aimed to elucidate the functional role and underlying molecular mechanisms of circ-E2F3 in OC progression.
