The methodology utilized in this systematic review follows the prescribed criteria outlined in the 2015 Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) checklist [33]. Moreover, the review protocol strictly adheres to the guidelines established by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses for Protocols 2015 (PRISMA-P 2015) (Supplementary Table 1) [18], and the PROSPERO registration number is CRD42024571362.
Clinical evidence of sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) products and its bioactive compounds on anthropometric measures, blood pressure, glycemic control, inflammatory biomarkers, lipid profile, and oxidative stress parameters in humans: a GRADE-assessed systema
The selection process for the included studies is illustrated in Fig. 1. Our database search identified a total of 9,855 studies, distributed as follows: PubMed (n = 1043), ISI Web of Science (n = 2946), Scopus (n = 2279), Embase (n = 2949), and Cochrane Library (n = 638). After removing 1425 duplicate studies, we screened 192 studies based on their titles and abstracts. Subsequently, we excluded 55 studies for being irrelevant. The full text of 80 studies was then assessed for eligibility.
Burden of diseases attributable to excess body weight in 204 countries and territories, 1990–2019 - Nutrition Journal
In 2019, globally there were an estimated 5 million deaths (95% UI: 3.2 to 7.1) attributable to EBW, which represented 8.9% (5.7 to 12.5) of all disease-related deaths (Table 1). This estimate was comprised of 2.5 million (1.5 to 3.6) deaths among males and an equivalent 2.5 million (1.7 to 3.6) among females (Table S1).

Data integrity of 14 randomised controlled trials
Highlights • Our analysis of the RCTs of one author suggests possible integrity problems. • We recommend a critical investigation of the studies that have not been retracted. • Until that has been completed, these studies should not be used to inform clinical practice. Abstract A review of the literature on iron treatments for iron-deficient anaemia in pregnancy indicated duplication of baseline and outcome tables in two separate randomised controlled trials (RCTs) that share only a single author.

The burden of dermatitis from 1990–2019 in the Middle East and North Africa region - BMC Public Health
In 2019, there were more than 16.6 million prevalent cases (95% UI 15.2 to 18.1 million) of dermatitis in MENA, with an age-standardised point prevalence of 2744.6 per 100,000 population (95% UI 2517.8 to 3003.1), which was 2.3% lower than in 1990 (95% UI -3.2 to -1.5) (Table 1 and Table S2).
Association between metabolic syndrome and myocardial infarction among patients with excess body weight: a systematic review and meta-analysis - BMC Public Health
The study was conducted according to the guidelines of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses 2020 [18]. Subtyping irritable bowel syndrome using cluster analysis: a systematic review - BMC Bioinformatics
Different approaches exist for addressing the heterogeneity grouping problem, including CA, latent class analysis (LCA), and mixture modeling. CA is advantageous in identifying distinct subgroups and providing visual representations but lacks standardized methods and may overlook latent factors [14]. LCA incorporates latent factors and allows for hypothesis testing but assumes conditional independence and requires large sample sizes [65].
Cytokines and chemokines profile in encephalitis patients: A meta-analysis
2.5. Data synthesis and meta-analysis The mean and SD of cytokine levels have been gathered as continuous data in encephalitis patients and the control group. When studies have reported concentrations of cytokines in more than one encephalitis group, if the types of encephalitis were similar (all groups had infectious encephalitis or all groups had autoimmune encephalitis), we pooled the mean and SD of the concentrations in those groups.
