Everyone has the potential to report and share what they see and experience in real-time.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter. Unlike Facebook, many Twitter users share everything publicly. It's easier to make new connections on Twitter.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

Anything local. Preferably the smaller, hyper-local ones. The bigger outfits just can't cover community news like the little guys.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That nothing happens in the suburbs.
