Global ammonia emission inversion in 2022 via assimilating IASI observations
Abstract Accurate ammonia (NH3) emission inventories are essential for assessing environmental impacts. Currently, commonly used bottom-up inventories contain substantial uncertainties, particularly in those less-developed regions such as South America and Africa. This study presents a global NH3 emission inversion in 2022 by assimilating Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI) retrievals into the GEOS-Chem model at 2° × 2.5° resolution.
Systemic metabolic dysfunction is associated with local treatment failure: the role of visceral adiposity index in anti-VEGF resistance in diabetic macular edema
Abstract Background: A substantial number of patients with diabetic macular edema (DME) exhibit resistance to standard anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) therapy, representing a major clinical challenge. The Visceral Adiposity Index (VAI), a surrogate for visceral fat dysfunction and systemic metabolic derangement, has been linked to diabetic microvascular complications, but its power to serve as a prognostic marker for local therapeutic failure in DME is unknown.

Regarding the role of self‐management in patients with diabetic retinopathy
Dear Editor, Diabetic retinopathy is a prevalent microvascular complication of diabetes mellitus, leading to visual impairment and blindness if not managed effectively. With the growing prevalence of diabetes worldwide, the incidence of diabetic retinopathy is also increasing, posing significant challenges to individuals' quality of life and the healthcare system.
YOLO-Crater Model for Small Crater Detection
2. Dataset The dataset is used to train and test the crater detection model. The lunar dataset was based on high-spatial-resolution data and small sample craters. The sample information includes the size and position of the sample craters. Currently, the SELENE-TC, LROC-NAC, and CE-2-CCD can provide lunar image data with high resolution [,,]. The resolution of SELENE-TC data is 7.4 m/pixel, and the coverage rate (the percentage of the surface that is covered) is 92.4%.
“Puncture-to-Loop” Technique to Retrieve Embolized Patent Foramen Ovale Occluder:
Introduction A 62-year-old male patient with patent foramen ovale (PFO) and cerebral ischemia was referred for PFO closure. Learning Objectives • To illustrate the basic concept to retrieve the embolized PFO occluder. • To illustrate a novel technique with devices on shelf to handle challenging situation. A 25-mm Occlutech PFO occluder (Occlutech GmbH) was implanted via a 9-F sheath (Figure 1).
High energy storage efficiency and excellent recoverable energy storage density realized in 0.65Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3-0.35BaTiO3-SrZr0.5Ti0.5O3 ceramics
High energy storage efficiency and excellent recoverable energy storage density realized in 0.65Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3-0.35BaTiO3-SrZr0.5Ti0.5O3 ceramics Minquan Wang, Lin Ying, Mi Chen, Miao Zhang, Qibin Yuan and Haibo Yang Abstract The application of novel eco-friendly energy storage ceramic with satisfactory properties is becoming more critical and essential as a result of environmental threats and energy crises.
A Case Study of Xingtai County, China
1. Introduction The development of the economic level has brought urban problems such as environmental quality pollution and traffic congestion to cities. In recent years, people have deepened their understanding of greenway route selection and construction, and deeply realized that greenway route selection and construction can effectively alleviate urban traffic congestion and improve urban the air quality.
Application of Balloon-Expandable Transcatheter Heart Valve in Bicuspid Aortic Valve:
Abstract Bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) remains challenging in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) because of unfavorable anatomy. New-generation balloon-expandable valve (BEV) appears to be a valid alternative to surgery, especially in some Asian countries with a higher prevalence of BAV. This tutorial review summarizes current thinking about how to plan and implant BEV in BAVs using versatile techniques.
Laparoscopic versus open transhiatal approach for adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Highlights ● Laparoscopic transhiatal approach (LTH) for AEG has gained growing popularity. ● LTH may provide favorable surgical outcomes and potential survival benefit. ● Prospective randomized controlled trials are urgently needed. Abstract Background The incidence of adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction (AEG) is increasing worldwide. Laparoscopic transhiatal approach (LTH) has gained growing popularity in the treatment of AEG. However, its safety and efficacy need to be evaluated.
Enhanced chemotherapeutic toxicity of cyclodextrin templated size-tunable rhodamine 6G nanoGUMBOS
Nanodrugs have been widely investigated for combating the large number of side effects associated with conventional therapeutics. Several investigations of such nanomedicines have demonstrated the profound role of nanoparticle size in therapeutic efficacy. Herein, we report the role of cyclodextrin (CD)-templating on the size and therapeutic properties of rhodamine 6G (R6G) nanoGUMBOS, i.e. nanomaterials derived from a Group of Uniform Materials Based on Organic Salts (GUMBOS).
Endocytic Selective Toxicity of Rhodamine 6G nanoGUMBOS in Breast Cancer Cells
Herein, we report on the role of endocytosis in the selective chemotherpeutic toxicity of rhodamine 6G (R6G) based nanomaterials, i.e., nanoGUMBOS, that are derived from a group of uniform materials based on organic salts (GUMBOS). Evaluation of cellular uptake in the presence and absence of endocytosis inhibitors suggests nanoGUMBOS internalization via clathrin-mediated endocytosis in cancer cells and reveals lack of endocytic internalization in normal cells.
Dark state with counter-rotating dissipative channels
We study a ?-type three-level system driven by two pump fields [see Fig. 1(a)]. The Hamiltonian of this three-level system is given by (setting ??=?1) where ? , ? , and ? are the three energy levels of the system and the frequencies of the two pumping fields are ? and ? , respectively, with ? and ? characterizing their coupling strengths to the three-level system. To focus on the effect of the counter-rotating dissipative channels, we take ? and ? to be independent of time.
Imaging Land Subsidence Induced by Groundwater Extraction in Beijing (China) Using Satellite Radar Interferometry
Beijing is one of the most water-stressed cities in the world. Due to over-exploitation of groundwater, the Beijing region has been suffering from land subsidence since 1935. In this study, the Small Baseline InSAR technique has been employed to process Envisat ASAR images acquired between 2003 and 2010 and TerraSAR-X stripmap images collected from 2010 to 2011 to investigate land subsidence in the Beijing region.
