The mortality of chronic kidney disease in Chinese subjects: a 12-year cohort based on clinical data in electronic health record
Abstract Background Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a global health problem with increasing prevalence. The objective of this study was to investigate the CKD mortality rate in a large cohort study based on electronic health record (EHR). Methods This was a retrospective cohort based on Hospital’s EHR. The follow-up period was from January 2008 to December 2019. We used demographics, laboratory tests, comorbidities and mortality information to do the analysis.
Dual-function Supramolecular System of α-Hydroxy Acid-based Ionic Liquids and Peptides for Enhanced Anti-aging Transdermal Delivery This work developed a dual-function supramolecular co-assembly system based on malic acid-derived ionic liquid (BMa) and acetyl hexapeptide-8 (AHP-8) for enhanced anti-aging transdermal delivery. The system alleviates dynamic wrinkles by inhibiting neurotransmitter release and repairs static wrinkles by promoting collagen production.
Hippocampus | Neuroscience Journal | Wiley Online Library
1 Main New neurons are continuously generated in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus throughout adulthood. In the subgranular zone, adult neural stem and progenitor cells (NSPCs) give rise to neuroblasts, which further develop into immature and mature granule neurons (Denoth-Lippuner and Jessberger 2021). Adult hippocampal neurogenesis (AHN) contributes to neural plasticity and function, thereby modulating cognition, memory, and mood regulation (Toda et al. 2019).

Capicua refines mossy fiber-CA3 axon targeting in the late postnatal hippocampus
Abstract Proper brain wiring relies on the precise distribution of axonal projections to specific subcellular domains of their target neurons. These spatially confined connections establish the anatomical foundation for neural circuit assembly. The mossy fiber (MF)–CA3 pathway in the hippocampus is an excellent system to study the mechanisms underlying lamina-specific connectivity.
Transcriptomic and spatial GABAergic neuron subtypes in zona incerta mediate distinct innate behaviors
Abstract Understanding the anatomical connection and behaviors of transcriptomic neuron subtypes is critical to delineating cell type-specific functions in the brain. Here we integrated single-nucleus transcriptomic sequencing, in vivo circuit mapping, optogenetic and chemogenetic approaches to dissect the molecular identity and function of heterogeneous GABAergic neuron populations in the zona incerta (ZI) in mice, a region involved in modulating various behaviors.

The mediating role of resilience between caregiver burden and hope among patients with inflammatory bowel disease
1 INTRODUCTION Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), is frequently diagnosed in young adults, characterized by periodic relapse and remission (Parigi et al., 2022). Recent epidemiological data indicates an ongoing rise in IBD prevalence and incidence, particularly in newly industrialized countries (Agrawal & Jess, 2022). IBD typically manifests as abdominal pain, diarrhoea and rectal bleeding (Parigi et al., 2022).
FeNi alloys embedded in porous carbon shells on dual-substrate as efficient electrocatalyst for zinc-air batteries
FeNi alloys embedded in porous carbon shells on dual-substrate as efficient electrocatalyst for zinc-air batteries Transition metal oxygen evolution/reduction reaction (ORR/OER) catalysts applied to Zn-air batteries (ZABs) have been extensively investigated, but the problems of transition metal electrocatalysts being prone to agglomeration and deactivation at high temperatures, and the insufficient stability of the existing single carbon-based catalysts still exist.

Nanofluid‐Guided Janus Membrane for High‐Efficiency Electricity Generation from Water Evaporation
Harvesting electricity from widespread water evaporation provides an alternative route to cleaner power generation technology. However, current evaporation power generation (EPG) mainly depends on the dissociation process of certain functional groups (e.g., SO3H) in water, which suffers from low power density and short-term output.

3. Results 3.1. Spatio-Temporal Dynamics of NEP 3.1.1. Spatio-Temporal Distribution of Average NEP Based on the spatial distribution map of the average carbon source and sink in the LP during the third period of 1990–2000, 2000–2010, and 2010–2019 (Figure 2), the carbon sink encompasses most of the region, and it has increased by 10.38% in the past 30 years. This increase has been mainly in the southeastern region of the LP, where the vegetation has gradually become greener and denser (Figure S1).
Experimental Investigations on the Response of Bedload Sediment to Vibration
Abstract : Research results on sediment vibration characteristics are scarce, and knowledge on the effect of the particle size on the sediment vibration response is still limited. In this study, natural pebbles of different heights—A, B and C—were selected (hA < hB < hC). Miniature acceleration sensors were installed inside the pebble. Experimental methods were used to measure the vibration process of pebbles on the rough bed surface and to measure the near-bed velocities simultaneously.

MTCSNet: Mean Teachers Cross-Supervision Network for Semi-Supervised Cloud Detection
Abstract : Cloud detection methods based on deep learning depend on large and reliable training datasets to achieve high detection accuracy. There will be a significant impact on their performance, however when the training data are insufficient or when the label quality is low. Thus, to alleviate this problem, a semi-supervised cloud detection method, named the mean teacher cross-supervision cloud detection network (MTCSNet) is proposed.
Cortical Layer Markers Expression and Increased Synaptic Density in Interstitial Neurons of the White Matter from Drug-Resistant Epilepsy Patients
Abstract : The interstitial neurons in the white matter of the human and non-human primate cortex share a similar developmental origin with subplate neurons and deep-layer cortical neurons. A subset of interstitial neurons expresses the molecular markers of subplate neurons, but whether interstitial neurons express cortical layer markers in the adult human brain remains unexplored.
