As Rick Foretich cleared water from his garage Sunday afternoon, reminders of the weekend flooding flowed close to his home. "The water started coming up Thursday, Thursday night," Foretich said. Foretich lives off Magnolia Drive in Pass Christian near the Wolf River. While his section of the road was no longer underwater Sunday afternoon, floodwaters covered the area Friday and Saturday. "About two inches from getting in our house, so we're the lucky ones," said Foretich.

Houma neighbors describe tornado as 'worse than Ida'

Lacey Dempster has spent the last few days picking up the pieces of her carport that was ripped out of her driveway in Houma. "This is more traumatizing and devastating than Ida was," said Dempster. "We seen the carport lift up and just come slam down in this area. We seen the wind pick it up, it slammed against the shop, swung back this way against our house." Saturday afternoon's rain stopped the cleanup in Dempster's neighborhood.
