Press ready?! What does that have to do with science?

Being “press ready” sounds simple, but — as I’m sure any researcher of a popular study can attest — it requires a surprising amount of focus and preparation. It makes perfect sense that researchers, clinicians, and academics would believe they’re already prepared for media interviews simply because the reporter will be asking them to talk about their own research or expertise. Winging it is definitely one approach.
