I'm a Los Angeles-based freelance journalist and culture writer covering music, nightlife, entertainment, LGBTQ+ culture and travel, with a focus on subcultures and community-driven spaces. What was your first job as a journalist?

My first job as a journalist was writing freelance for Condé Nast's Teen Vogue.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Nope. I was born in the wrong generation, I guess.

How is social media changing news?

Social media makes news more accessible and helps us innovate with multimedia, but it comes with the cost of short attention spans.
