I did not exactly find the trailers for Disney’s live-action Moana encouraging. Something felt off about the whole thing. There was way too much green screen, Dwayne Johnson’s wig just didn’t look right, and it seemed like essentially a shot-for-shot remake of a beloved film that isn’t even that old. Well, all of those things ended up being true. And yet, to my great surprise, this live-action version of Moana isn’t bad. It’s actually pretty decent.

Rick and Morty‘s new spinoff will begin on July 26 at Adult Swim the same night the original show’s ninth season ends. President Curtis will see Keith David’s Commander-in-Chief having his own adventures free of the multiverse’s drunkest grandpa. Considering how many times Rick and Morty have partnered with (or against) their world’s POTUS, it’s been unclear exactly how this new show will differentiate itself from the old one.
