Mike Winston, CFA is the founder and Managing Principal of Sutton View Capital LLC, an employee owned hedge fund sponsor and advisor. Sutton View was founded in 2012 and focuses on event-driven and intrinsic value investing. The firm co-led a successful activist litigation against the board of Dole Foods in its management led buyout, and obtained a 35% increase in total consideration on behalf of all shareholders. Sutton View advises one or more of the largest academic endowments in the world.

In anticipation of Veterans Day, the deck of the historic battleship USS Iowa in San Pedro, came alive with conversation, presentations and a shared commitment to the veteran community. Hosted by the Armed Forces Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA), the event, Eyes On: Veterans Legal Services Project, gathered attorneys, judges and community leaders in their legal advocacy for the veterans and active-duty servicemembers of greater Los Angeles in July.
