What was your first job as a journalist?
I started out reporting for my high school paper, The Pointer. I went on to report for The Lantern at The Ohio State University.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes! Believe it or not!
How is social media changing news?
Social media IS now the source of "news" for many people, even though that's a dangerous idea.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Jane Craig (Holly Hunter) from Broadcast News
What does it mean to be a journalist?
For me, there's no better feeling than when you get a compliment on something you've written.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Grammarly. WordHippo. Pablo by Buffer.
What's your favorite social network?
I love Twitter! LinkedIn is probably second for me.

Why did you become a journalist?
I love writing! Simple, but true! I enjoy writing on topics close to my heart, as well as for clients.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I helped write and edit stories and do layout.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Midday.
What's your favorite drink?
Hmm.daytime? Coffee! Nighttime? Margaritas or wine.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Spending time with my kids, my kitties or watching a film or show.

I love the Washington Post, Digiday, Wired.
