Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes! Many of my reports in my early education were written on a typewriter. They are powerful and really make you feel like each word counts.
How is social media changing news?
It's extremely difficult to provide news in such a way that conveys the entirety of both nuance and facts in one to two sentences. Social media has changed how long we pay attention and how much energy we put into understanding what we read. It now is on the writer to not lose precision for the sake of being concise.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My very first NaNoWriMo win was in 2022, I wrote a psychological thriller/paranormal mystery called Sea of Vows.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I try to stay active where I can, whether that's hiking in our local forests or serving aces at the tennis court.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
To be honest, when I'm reading the news I want it to be as dry and as factual as possible. Reuters has been the most neutral, objective publication I have come across.
