Thu, June 25, 2026 at 6:03 PM SANDY, Utah (KUTV) — A young man was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at Dimple Dell Regional Park. The Sandy City Fire Department responded around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. “The crews that went down into the gully were able to get a quick stop on it,” said Sandy Fire Department Captain Clint Stokes. “They limited the size to about 1.5 acres.” No homes or structures were threatened. “We’re very concerned,” said nearby resident Nancy Day.
