The heat and humidity sticks around for the rest of the week with a couple more chances of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.A HEAT ADVISORY is in effect until 8:00 p.m. for most of central and southern New Hampshire, where heat index values could reach 95 degrees or higher.An AIR QUALITY ALERT is in effect for coastal Rockingham county until 10:00 p.m. for ozone.

Humidity rises, storm chances return Wednesday in New Hampshire

A very warm and increasingly more humid stretch is on the way for the rest of the week with a couple of chances of showers and thunderstorms. Fair skies with overnight lows in the 50s to lower 60s from north to south tonight. Partly sunny, very warm, and turning humid on Wednesday with a chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm. Hazy sun and clouds, toasty, and quite humid Thursday with a spot shower or thundershower.
