Metabolic reprogramming of NK cells in chronic brucellar arthritis: role of the HIF-1α/mTOR axis
Abstract Background: Brucellar arthritis is the most common complication of brucellosis, and its chronic progression is closely associated with immune cell dysfunction. Natural killer (NK) cells play a central role in anti-infective immunity; however, their functional status and regulatory mechanisms in brucellar arthritis remain poorly understood.
Tectonic controls governing reservoir heterogeneity within a stepped carbonate platform of the Sinian Dengying Formation in the Sichuan Basin, China
Abstract Sinian microbialites represent crucial archives for investigating the co-evolution of life and the environment after the Marinoan glaciation, but their porous facies also form significant hydrocarbon reservoirs worldwide. The giant gas accumulation in the fourth member of the Upper Sinian Dengying Formation (Deng-4 Member, Z2dn4) in the Penglai area, Sichuan Basin, is hosted within such a reservoir.

Ambient fabrication of perovskites for photovoltaics - Nature Reviews Materials
Fabricating high-performance perovskite solar cells under ambient conditions — without strict humidity or atmospheric controls — paves the way for scalable, low-cost photovoltaics. However, achieving such fabrication requires deeper materials insights into how moisture and oxygen influence precursor solution chemistry and guide perovskite film crystallization.
Strain-induced rubidium incorporation into wide-bandgap perovskites reduces photovoltage loss
Editor’s summary Cooperative lattice contraction created by small chlorine and rubidium ions allows the formation of a stable wide-bandgap perovskite for use in tandem solar cells. The small size of rubidium cations usually prevents formation of the perovskite phase, but Zheng et al. showed that the strain induced with added chlorine prevents phase segregation of the rubidium and cesium cations in the perovskite and creates a phase with a wide band gap (1.67 electron volts).
All-perovskite tandem solar cells achieving >29% efficiency with improved (100) orientation in wide-bandgap perovskites - Nature Materials
Abstract Monolithic all-perovskite tandem solar cells present a promising approach for exceeding the efficiency limit of single-junction solar cells. However, the substantial open-circuit voltage loss in the wide-bandgap perovskite subcell hinders further improvements in power-conversion efficiency. Here we develop wide-bandgap perovskite films with improved (100) crystal orientation that suppress non-radiative recombination.
Self-assembled bilayer for perovskite solar cells with improved tolerance against thermal stresses - Nature Energy
Abstract The adoption of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) requires improved resistance to high temperatures and temperature variations. Hole-selective self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) have enabled progress in the performance of inverted PSCs, yet they may compromise temperature stability owing to desorption and weak interfacial contact. Here we developed a self-assembled bilayer by covalently interconnecting a phosphonic acid SAM with a triphenylamine upper layer.
High-efficiency and thermally stable FACsPbI3 perovskite photovoltaics - Nature
Abstract α-FA1-xCsxPbI3 is a promising absorber material for efficient and stable perovskite solar cells (PSCs)1,2. However, the most efficient α-FA1-xCsxPbI3 PSCs require the inclusion of methylammonium chloride (MACl) additive3,4, which generates volatile organic residues (i.e., MA) that limit device stability at elevated temperatures5.

Engineering ligand reactivity enables high-temperature operation of stable perovskite solar cells
Editor’s summary The thermal stability of three-dimensional perovskite solar cells can be improved by adding ammonium ligands that create a two-dimensional perovskite capping layers, but such ligands are prone to intercalation into the bulk. Park et al.
Separating Crystal Growth from Nucleation Enables the In Situ Controllable Synthesis of Nanocrystals for Efficient Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes
Abstract Colloidal perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) display bright luminescence for light-emitting diode (LED) applications; however, they require post-synthesis ligand exchange that may cause surface degradation and defect formation. In situ-formed PNCs achieve improved surface passivation using a straightforward synthetic approach, but their LED performance at the green wavelength is not yet comparable with that of colloidal PNC devices.

An embedded interfacial network stabilizes inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite thin films - Nature Communications
Materials preparation Perovskite thin films: Cesium iodide (CsI, 99.9%) was purchased from Fisher Scientific. Lead iodide (PbI2, 99.9%), lead bromide (PbBr2, 99.9%), anhydrous dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and gamma-Butyrolactone (GBL) were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. The perovskite precursor powders were weighed and treated at 80 °C under vacuum in a vacuum oven for 2 h to remove any trapped moisture before use.
Germanium silicon oxide achieves multi-coloured ultra-long phosphorescence and delayed fluorescence at high temperature - Nature Communications
Abstract Colour-tuned phosphors are promising for advanced security applications such as multi-modal anti-counterfeiting and data encryption. The practical adoption of colour-tuned phosphors requires these materials to be responsive to multiple stimuli (e.g., excitation wavelength, excitation waveform, and temperature) and exhibit excellent materials stability simultaneously.
Sub-millimetre light detection and ranging using perovskites - Nature Electronics
Abstract Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) technology is an active remote-sensing system used in autonomous vehicles, machine vision and augmented reality. Improvements in the speed and signal-to-noise ratio of photodetectors are needed to meet these demanding ranging applications. Silicon electronics have been the principal option for LiDAR photodetectors in the range of 850–950 nm.
Multi-cation perovskites prevent carrier reflection from grain surfaces
Abstract The composition of perovskite has been optimized combinatorially such that it often contains six components (AxByC1−x−yPbXzY3−z) in state-of-art perovskite solar cells. Questions remain regarding the precise role of each component, and the lack of a mechanistic explanation limits the practical exploration of the large and growing chemical space.
Regioselective magnetization in semiconducting nanorods
Abstract Chirality—the property of an object wherein it is distinguishable from its mirror image—is of widespread interest in chemistry and biology1,2,3,4,5,6. Regioselective magnetization of one-dimensional semiconductors enables anisotropic magnetism at room temperature, as well as the manipulation of spin polarization—the properties essential for spintronics and quantum computing technology7.

Multibandgap quantum dot ensembles for solar-matched infrared energy harvesting
Under illumination, the electron quasi-Fermi level increase in solar cells made from a single population of CQDs is dictated by the excited carrier density that can be sustained in the conduction band in steady state8. The overlap of the Fermi-Dirac occupation function at the quasi-Fermi level f (E, E ) and the density of states (DOS) at the CQD conduction g (E) band determines this photoexcited electron density (Fig. 1a): A similar expression holds for photoexcited holes in the valence band.
Dipolar cations confer defect tolerance in wide-bandgap metal halide perovskites
We fabricated wide-bandgap perovskite thin films with and without (controls) the dipolar MA cation (see Methods). Both compositions—Cs FA Pb(I Br ) (denoted CsFA) and Cs MA FA Pb(I Br ) (denoted CsMAFA)—exhibit a sharp absorption edge (E ) at 1.67 and 1.65 eV, respectively (Fig. 1a). The absorption onset, rather than Tauc plot bandgap, is used here due to excitonic contributions to the spectrum close to the bandgap8,15 (Supplementary Fig. 1 and Supplementary Table 1).
