Abstract Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is an important complication after lower-extremity trauma, but evidence in surgically treated open patellar fractures is limited. We retrospectively studied consecutive patients with open patellar fractures who underwent surgery at two level I trauma centers between November 2013 and January 2023. The primary outcome was detected in-hospital DVT within the inpatient ultrasound surveillance pathway.

Abstract The tumor microenvironment is a critical regulator of cancer progression. Histone lactylation, a novel post-translational modification, has emerged as a key player in various tumors and is closely linked to macrophage polarization within the immune tumor microenvironment. Here, we delineated the signaling axis through which histone lactylation, specifically H3K18la, orchestrates crosstalk between intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma cells and the tumor microenvironment (TME).

Abstract Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease posing a significant threat to human health. Regulatory T cells (Tregs) are crucial for immune homeostasis. Dysfunction of Tregs have been demonstrated in SLE, but underlying mechanisms remain largely unclear. Here, we observe that peripheral Treg numbers and SLC7A11 expression in Tregs are reduced in SLE, with SLC7A11 levels negatively correlates with disease activity.
