Your Tuesday afternoon news roundup 2/13/2024 BALTIMORE -- Baltimore Police are investigating the deaths of a woman and a one-year-old after their bodies were found in a home in West Baltimore Tuesday. According to police, the 32-year-old woman and the child were found in the 1800 block of McCulloh Street. Police told WJZ the investigation is ongoing into how they died and no foul play is suspected. The identities of the woman and the child have not been released.

Security guard sentenced for deadly shooting at South Baltimore Royal Farms

BALTIMORE - Kanisha Spence, the security guard who shot and killed a man at a Royal Farms in South Baltimore in October 2022, was sentenced to 60 years in prison Thursday. In August, Spence was found guilty of second-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence. She was found not guilty of first-degree murder. Officers responded to the shooting around 3:27 a.m. on October 30, 2022, at the convenience store in the 1800 block of Washington Boulevard.

BALTIMORE -- Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews helped a woman who was having a mid-flight emergency on a Southwest Airlines flight from Baltimore to Phoenix, Arizona, on Thursday morning, according to the Ravens. In a statement to WJZ, the Ravens confirmed that it was Andrews on the plane and included a quote from Andrews: "In addition to the fast-acting flight attendants, the real heroes are the nurse and doctor who also happened to be on the plane.
