West Stockbridge Zucchini Festival canceled after committee misses volunteer goal

WEST STOCKBRIDGE — Those hoping to win glory for their oversized zucchinis in West Stockbridge will have to wait at least another year. That's because this year's zucchini festival is canceled. In a Thursday statement, the festival's committee said it decided to skip this year's festival — originally slated for Aug. 8 — after it did not hit its volunteer recruitment goal of 100 people by June 1.

With another summer of Tanglewood concerts underway, so are ticket scams. Here's what you need to know. Go to bso.org/tanglewood or tanglewood.org. Then go to the upper right part of the screen and click on "Tickets & Events." You'll then be able to select the performance you'd like to attend and your seats, before proceeding to the payment page. No. The only official way to purchase Tanglewood tickets is through its official website at bso.org/tanglewood or tanglewood.org.
