Abstract Background: Ovarian torsion is a gynecologic emergency requiring timely management to preserve ovarian function and future fertility. Clinical presentation is heterogeneous and frequently non-specific, making the decision between operative and conservative management challenging, particularly in reproductive-aged patients. Objective: Develop and evaluate a machine learning–based prognostic model to support individualized management decisions in ovarian torsion.

To compare the overnight maximum pain scores after osmotic dilator placement prior to a dilation and evacuation (D&E) procedure in participants assigned to a prescription for ibuprofen alone or to ibuprofen plus oxycodone. We conducted a nonblinded pragmatic, randomized controlled trial to evaluate pain management among women undergoing osmotic dilator placement prior to D&E.

1 Introduction Uterine fibroids, also known as myomas, are the most common benign tumors affecting the female reproductive system. They are most prevalent among patients aged 30-50 years (1). By the age of 50, the cumulative incidence of myomas in women can reach up to 70%—80%. Among all myomas, submucosal myomas account for approximately 5.5%-10% (2). Submucosal myomas often lead to abnormal uterine bleeding, infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, and pelvic pain (3).
