JACKSON, Tenn. (WBBJ) - Sunny And Seasonably Cool It was a cooler start to the morning with temp dropping into the lower to mid 60s. Mainly clear skies and a broad continental polar high pressure continue influences conditions over much of the Ohio and Tennessee Valley. Temps will be again held back for the same reason today, though it will be a degree or two warmer at the peak heating of the afternoon. Light north wind will continue filtering in drier air today.

JACKSON, Tenn. (WBBJ) - A pleasant start to August and the final month of Meteorological Summer. Clouds still linger mainly towards the Tennessee River. A broad upper level low pressure system is still pulling away from the region, it’s grip will loosen further as the day progresses. Meanwhile the main influence will be continental polar high pressure. It will keep a breeze from the north and tend to suppress temps and dew points today.

JACKSON, Tenn. (WBBJ) - Today: Hot And Humid Again A canopy of clouds have developed as expected as a warm front approaches the Mississippi River. The clouds are slowing down the destabilization process and warming a bit, so much the physical warm front has even slowed a bit from this morning. There is still the matter of the complex of storms moving into Northwest Tennessee from SE Missouri/NE Arkansas.
