Abstract Objectives To compare the accuracy of transvaginal (TVS) and transabdominal (TAS) ultrasonography for evaluation of the thickness of the lower uterine segment (LUS) in pregnant women at term who had undergone a caesarean section previously, and to determine their effectiveness for assessment of the strength of the caesarean scar. Materials and methods An observational cross-sectional study was conducted at Kasr El-Ainy Hospital, Cairo, Egypt.
