The wife of a man who was on the run in the sprawling Feeding Our Future case has been sentenced to 14 months in federal prison. Najmo Ahmed pleaded guilty to her role in the fraud scheme in February 2025. Her time in prison, which is scheduled to begin on July 15, will be followed by one year on supervised release. She must also pay back over a million dollars in restitution. Her husband, Said Abdullahi Ereg, turned himself in last week after the FBI put out an award for his arrest.

As an attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice for almost two decades, Matthew Ebert says the trials of Aimee Bock and her codefendants connected to Feeding Our Future stand alone for their complexity and importance. Ebert and other former federal prosecutors who helped convict Bock last year were back in the courtroom on Thursday when a judge sentenced the founder of Feeding Our Future to more than 41 years in federal prison.

The founder of Feeding Our Future will be sentenced for her role in the sprawling fraud scheme on Thursday morning. Prosecutors have described Bock as the “ringleader” of the scheme to defraud the Federal Child Nutrition Program out of roughly $250 million — the largest pandemic-related fraud scheme in the country, according to prosecutors. 5 INVESTIGATES reporter Eric Rasmussen questioned Bock about her role in the fraud scheme during a remote video interview earlier this week.
