A diverse set of geo-referenced Ae. tauschii accessions collected over a geographic range of species distribution and representing locations with diverse historic climatic and bioclimatic characteristics was acquired from the USDA NSGC to identify the CAAs. This public germplasm collection had 137 accessions with precise GPS coordinates (Additional File 1: Table S1).
