MOVEMENT for National Renewal leader John Sangwa says Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 7 of 2025 does not exist. Sangwa argues that until the Technical Committee completes its work, no valid Bill exists, and there is nothing to debate. He says the discussion Zambians must have is to question President Hakainde Hichilema’s decision to amend the Constitution close to an election.

THE Zambia Police Service has confirmed that two suspected UPND cadres were injured after being shot for disrupting the registration exercise at Mbita Voter Registration Centre in Livingstone. The UPND has since expelled over 150 unruly party members from Livingstone, Kitwe and Mpika for criminal behaviour and gross misconduct.

VARIOUS netizens have expressed that they will be voting back President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND, despite various economic hardships such as load shedding. This follows a Facebook post on the News Diggers! page which stated, “We don’t know where you’ll get electricity from by August, Mr President, but those hundreds of thousands that joined ECZ queues into the night yesterday aren’t your voters”.
