What was your first job as a journalist?
I started as a journalist at a New Jersey's business newspaper, NJBiz. I helped set the stage for their online efforts.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It sounds hokey, but it's a major responsibility to educate people on the issues you think are relevant. So pick your stories well.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I'm most proud of stories where I can break down a complicated subject, such as stories on labor issues, the financial crisis, or healthcare.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Be curious, and never stop learning. Think of the reader when you write.
