An open‐label phase 1/2 study of favezelimab plus pembrolizumab in patients with relapsed/refractory classical Hodgkin lymphoma with/without previous anti‐PD‐1 treatment
Introduction: Dual blockade of PD-1 and lymphocyte-activation gene (LAG-3) has shown antitumor activity; however, the activity of the combination for patients (pts) with relapsed or refractory (R/R) classical Hodgkin’s lymphoma (cHL) is unclear.
FAVEZELIMAB PLUS PEMBROLIZUMAB IN ANTI-PD‐1-REFRACTORY CLASSICAL HODGKIN LYMPHOMA (CHL): ESTIMATING THE RELATIVE EFFICACY OF FAVEZELIMAB
Introduction: There is an unmet need for effective therapeutic options for patients (pts) with relapsed or refractory (R/R) cHL whose disease has progressed after a PD-1 inhibitor. Favezelimab is a LAG-3 inhibitor that had tolerable safety and effective antitumor activity when used in combination with pembrolizumab in pts with anti–PD-1–refractory R/R cHL in the phase 1/2 MK-4280-003 study (Timmerman J et al. J Clin Oncol. 2022;40(16 suppl):7545).
A high-fidelity quantum matter-link between ion-trap microchip modules - Nature Communications
Abstract System scalability is fundamental for large-scale quantum computers (QCs) and is being pursued over a variety of hardware platforms. For QCs based on trapped ions, architectures such as the quantum charge-coupled device (QCCD) are used to scale the number of qubits on a single device. However, the number of ions that can be hosted on a single quantum computing module is limited by the size of the chip being used.
Interventional radiology (IR) physicians often face ergonomic challenges. Ideal positioning of imaging monitors and x-ray system controls in many IR and hybrid OR cases may not be possible due to physical obstruction from the c-arm and ancillary equipment. This study evaluates the clinical usability and effect on workflow of an augmented reality (AR) head mounted display (HMD) during IR procedures in a hybrid OR.
Unilateral Severance of Joint Tenancy Must Be Unequivocal and Irrevocable | JD Supra
Can a California will sever a joint tenancy such that the decedent’s interest in real property passes per will’s terms instead of vesting in the surviving joint tenant(s)? Additionally, when a general partnership dissolves after the death of a partner’s spouse, does the deceased spouse’s estate have a community property interest in the distributed partnership assets? The California Court of Appeal addressed these questions in Pearce v.

Membrane protein dimerization in cell-derived lipid membranes measured by FRET with MC simulations
Abstract Many membrane proteins are thought to function as dimers or higher oligomers, but measuring membrane protein oligomerization in lipid membranes is particularly challenging. Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) and fluorescence cross-correlation spectroscopy (FCCS) are non-invasive, optical methods of choice that have been applied to the analysis of dimerization of single-spanning membrane proteins.

Put It on My Tab – When Is a Lifetime Gift in California an Advancement Against Inheritance? | LexBlog
A primary purpose of estate planning is to determine what a child will inherit (if anything) upon a parent’s death. But what about a gift given during the parent’s life? Is it an advance on the child’s inheritance, like putting it on the child’s tab until the trust is cashed out? Or is the gift in addition to anything the child will get upon the parent’s death?

New anti-resorptives and antibody mediated anti-resorptive therapy
AbstractThe ageing population and an increase in both the incidence and prevalence of cancer pose a healthcare challenge, some of which is borne by the orthopaedic community in the form of osteoporotic fractures and metastatic bone disease. In recent years there has been an increasing understanding of the pathways involved in bone metabolism relevant to osteoporosis and metastases in bone. Newer therapies may aid the management of these problems.
Modeling hydrologic controls on sulfur processes in sulfate-impacted wetland and stream sediments
Recent studies show sulfur redox processes in terrestrial settings are more important than previously considered, but much remains uncertain about how these processes respond to dynamic hydrologic conditions in natural field settings. We used field observations from a sulfate-impacted wetland and stream in the mining region of Minnesota (USA) to calibrate a reactive transport model and evaluate sulfur and coupled geochemical processes under contrasting hydrogeochemical scenarios.
Distribution of the tick Dermacentor reticulatus in the United Kingdom
The recent implication of Dermacentor reticulatus (Ixodida: Ixodidae) in the transmission of canine babesiosis in the U.K. has highlighted the lack of accurate published data on its distribution in this country. This paper aims to collate and appraise historical data for D. reticulatus, to supplement such data with more recent surveillance data and to report on field sampling conducted during 2009–2016.

New online ecology of adversarial aggregates: ISIS and beyond
Tackling the advance of online threatsOnline support for adversarial groups such as Islamic State (ISIS) can turn local into global threats and attract new recruits and funding. Johnson et al. analyzed data collected on ISIS-related websites involving 108,086 individual followers between 1 January 1 and 31 August 2015. They developed a statistical model aimed at identifying behavioral patterns among online supporters of ISIS and used this information to predict the onset of major violent events.
