Interview
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Sharing the complexities and realities of our world to inspire change and shifts that might make our communities better, stronger.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I love connecting with people on a personal level. Find something you know I love (or am passionate about) from past stories and use that.
Who do you wish followed you?
Probably Ravyn Lenae, Ayo Edebiri, or Quinta Brunson
Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist because not everyone has a voice. It fills me with great pride to create accessible opportunities for others.
When's the best time to pitch you?
At the beginning of the month! This is usually when I am starting new stories or finalizing older ones.
What's your favorite drink?
Apple juice and smoothies.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I enjoy spending time outside and sharing my space with my guinea pigs. I also love writing poetry and exploring creative hobbies like sewing
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I love Eater and The Strategist!
